iPod Touch Rev 3
Nearly identical to the Rev 2 iPod Touch, the Rev 3 is distinguished by a smaller box, around the capacity, printed on the back (approximately 1/4 inch, or 6 millimeters, wide). Unlike the Rev 1 touch, the black antenna mark, on the back, is capsule shaped.

The 1G iPod is distinguished from most newer iPod models by the buttons surrounding the wheel. Nearly identical in appearance to the 1G iPod, it is distinguished from the older iPod by it's moving scroll wheel, the plastic of the faceplate surrounding the ports and hold-switch on the top, as well as the open FireWire port.
