The iPhone 6 was released in September 2014 and was sold through September 2016. It features an Apple A8 chip providing 25% increase in CPU performance and 50% increase in graphics performance over the previous model. The 8mp camera on this model was upgraded with a new sensor added to help with photos taken in low light environments, as well as the ability to shoot 1080p videos. The iPhone 6 also added support for near field communication (NFC) which is primarily used for Apple Pay.
The iPhone 6s was released in September 2015 and was sold through September 2016. It features 2GB of RAM with an Apple A9 chip providing 70% increase in CPU performance and 90% increase in graphics performance over the previous generation A8 Chip. The camera also got upgraded to a 12MP rear camera capable of recording video in 4K. This was also the first model to include 3D touch alongside a taptic engine.
